Finally from Twitter they are implementing a button to edit the tweets, something that users have been waiting for a long time, and that the social network has been analyzing for a few months
Through the official account of the social network, it is that they announced and began to test the button. “If you see an edited Tweet it’s because we’re testing the edit button.” they mentioned.
According to detailed, the edit post feature is being tested internally and will soon be available to users of Twitter Blue, the company’s subscription service. Despite its limited use, all users will be able to see the edited tweets, along with a message indicating that the post has been edited.
“It’s true: our team is testing the Edit Tweet feature internally. The test will initially expand to Twitter Blue subscribers in the coming weeks. Since this is our most requested feature to date, we wanted to update you on our progress and let you know that even if you’re not in a test group, everyone will still be able to see if a Tweet has been edited.”
On the occasion, they also detailed how the edition will work, mentioning that the tweets can be edited during the first 30 minutes after their publication, and they will be marked so that the readers know that the original message was modified. This flag will allow users to see the edit history, and previous versions of the tweet.
At the moment there is no mention of whether the functionality will be extended to other users in the future.
