Tony Khan strips CM Punk of the All Elite Wrestling World Championship

During broadcasts of AEW Dynamite via TBS and Fite TV, the president and CEO Tony Khan confirmed the company’s World Championship vacancy.

This week’s broadcasts kicked off with a video statement starring Tony Khan. The president of the company confirmed that, as a result of what happened after the All Out pay-per-view, the AEW World Championship will be vacant until the broadcast on September 21 at Arthur Ashee Stadium. Starting tonight, the company will hold a six-player tournament en route to a match for the vacant belt at Grand Slam 2022.
