The U clarifies what will happen to the future of Osorio and López

The crisis at the University of Chile is evident. One point behind relegation and with a poor football level, the Blues face the final part of the year with a lot of uncertainty. In addition, the rumors of the departure of Darío Osorio, his great figure, had also grown. That is why from the leadership, they decided to clarify the situation of the player.

“Until now, neither Darío Osorio nor any Club player has been sold. The institution is not close to finalizing the sale of soccer players and has not evaluated, to date, exit proposals. No player will leave the Club for the remainder of the season,” they said in a statement published on the Universidad de Chile website.

In the same article, they spoke about Diego Lopez, to whom they publicly gave their support. “No one at the Club has questioned the continuity of Diego López and his coaching staff. The Club has not contacted or probed in any wayneither directly nor indirectly, to any person to assume the function that Diego performs and in which he has the support of all of us who are part of the institution”.

Regarding the balance of the year, Azul Azul pointed out that “Once this championship is over, we will be able to carry out the corresponding analyzes and assume responsibilities as part of the institution, privately and well as evaluating the results of our tasks regarding the sports performance of each area during this season”.

Finally, the leadership called for unity. “It is a time when managers, administration, collaborators, coaching staff, players, fans and all of us who love Club Universidad de Chile must be united to finish this 2022 season in the best way. We have no doubt that, being all united, we can do it”, they sentenced.
