Succession, Ted Lasso, The Squid Game, The White Lotus

The 74th Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Awards, better known as the Emmy Awards, awards the best television series and fiction of the year. The gala this morning from September 12 to 13 is presented by Kenan Thompson, host of the 2022 Emmys, American actor and comedian, popular faces of shows like Saturday night Live, where he has worked in 383 episodes.

After the victory last year [ganadores Emmy 2021] of The Crown (drama), ted lasso (comedy) and queen’s gambit (miniseries), and the first round of awards of this edition delivered on the 3rd and 4th of September last, at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, this year we have had new winners [así quedaron las nominaciones a los Emmy 2022]led by the 5 awards for The White Lotus as the most outstanding miniseries.

In the drama section, the big winner was Succession (3 Emmys including the best drama series for HBOMax), which already triumphed in 2020, with the squid game (two awards) about to give the surprise with the prize to its protagonist, Lee Jung-jae.

In comedy, the coach played by Jason Sudeikis in ted lasso repeats last year’s success: four awards for the Apple series, best comedy series of the year.
