In total there were 8 organizations that participated in this paddle tournament, held at “Padel Life Huechuraba”. Where, although performing sports was the basis of the event, the objective was to follow the purpose of SportsCoLab, that is, to seek that this instance serve as a meeting point for all the actors that are part of the sports ecosystem in Chile.
In the words of the CEO of the sports innovation laboratory, Javier Martínez, the event stood out for several reasons: “Mainly allowed us to generate connections between sports startups, both those who attended and those who could not go, to form alliances between organizations, foundations and the different actors of the sports ecosystem, not only startups. It is from there that we can make the greatest contribution to the development of the sports industry in Chile”.
SportsCoLab had already held events with this objective, but in an online format, such as the “SportsTech Chile Congress” in its 2020 and 2021 versions, which brought together dozens of lovers of this industry. This is why they will continue to advance with their methodology, in order to continue strengthening the sports ecosystem.
The next step is to continue holding this event and, at the end of September, they will launch the 1st Pacific Alliance SportsTech Map, where it was possible to identify the sports startups that are in Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Mexico, in order to to make them visible and facilitate the connections between them.
