Last Thursday, the world of music was shocked to learn of the death of Schedule ‘Marciano’ Canterothe vocalist of the mythical band Enanitos Verdes, at the age of 62, so that after his death, fans have remembered the great love story he lived with Viviana, his almost-teenage girlfriend who became his wife several decades later.
But that’s not all, but the love he had for the one he met in his native mendoza, Argentinaserved as inspiration for some of the band’s greatest hymns and that thousands of followers have sung without knowing that they had actually been songs composed for their beloved.
Although songs like Your prison either Bolivian Lament are some of the most recognized of the band, among popular taste there were also two songs that ‘Marciano’ dedicated to Viviana, who today keeps as the greatest treasures of their relationship.
It’s about the issues ‘Your old letters’a classic of the band, and ‘French Lemon’a more recent production but one that frames the continuation of its story several decades later.
‘Your old letters’
The story between this couple is worthy of a movie. It all started back in the 80s when Horacio and Viviana had a relationship in their native Mendoza, but given the success that the band was beginning to have, Cantero had to move to Buenos Aires and prioritize the professional over the personal.
This was one of the reasons why they could not continue their relationship, although the love did not end there.
“When we left with Los Enanitos we stopped going out because I had to continue, but we never had a fight, we ended up well,” the singer recalled in an interview.
In 1984 the band recorded their first album and it was increasingly difficult to maintain their relationship that ended up breaking up. For this reason, for his second album, Cantero recalled his story and dedicated the famous ‘Your old letters’.
“I always wondered why everything that happened had happened, the lyrics reflect the pain of that moment,” Cantero said in a statement.
Time passed and each one made his life. Horacio and the dwarfs moved to Mexico and their professional success skyrocketed. The singer even gave himself another chance at love: married and divorced time after.
However, in a 180 degree turn, Stonecutter He returned to his homeland in 2018, where he was reunited with Viviana and the flame of love rekindled, as if 32 years had not passed. That same year they said yes and were husband and wife.
“Fortunately, we met again and got married,” said the singer on the matter.
Due to the joy that resuming their relationship gave him, he dedicated the song ‘French Lemon’, the second theme written for her, who really was the love of her life.
