The iPhone 14 was announced in the middle of the “Far Out” event that took place on Wednesday, September 7 from Apple Park, located in Cupertino, California (United States). There, the managers also revealed the new features of its other two flagship products: the Airpods and the Apple Watch.
The differences between the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 14 are not many: they have the same dimensions, since the two normal versions are 6.1 inches and also have the same design. They also have the same A15 Bionic chip
As for the camera. Apple announced substantial improvements in all of them for this new version. According to the company, the improvements will be reflected particularly in photos and videos at night or in low light, thanks to the “Photonic engine” technology, which better integrates the software and hardware of the equipment and helps it achieve a quality of image so far never seen on cell phones of the same range.
Also, its hardware is obviously more powerful. The iPhone 14 will consist of a 6-core CPU with 2 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores, a 5-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. The hours of video playback will also increase: in this edition it will be 20 hours.
In the “Plus” and “Pro” versions, several new features were reserved: the A16 Bionic chip, which is a much more powerful processor than the previous model. In addition, these devices will allow the experience of the ‘Dynamic Island’ for the display of notifications and the improvement of the ‘TrueDepth’ front camera for better performance in terms of photos and videos in low light.
On the other hand, line 14 will have some features that the previous version did not have, especially the satellite connection and shock detection.
