After several years without an update, Apple finally introduced the second generation of AirPods Pro, which debut a new H2 chip inside with high-bandwidth connectivity unlocking improvements to audio quality and battery life.
Apple’s new headphones have an advanced low-distortion audio driver and a custom amplifier for more defined bass and clear sound in a wider frequency range.
The highlight of the AirPods Pro 2 is that they now add the custom spatial audio, which provides a much more immersive experience by creating a personal audio profile with the iPhone camera, which adapts to the user’s unique perception of sound, based on the size and shape of the head and ears.
Also, the power of the H2 chip cancels up to twice the noise compared to the first generation of AirPods Pro. There’s also a new ‘adaptive transparency mode’ that dramatically reduces the volume of ambient noise, even from construction.

This is possible thanks to the H2 can process sound up to 48 thousand times per second to react instantly to any loud noise you are exposed to, without losing your attention to the world around you.
To improve insulation, also includes a new extra small pad that fits better to different types of ears, for those who have problems with comfort and fit.
Another novelty is the incorporation of touch controls that add a layer of sensitive detection, which allows you to adjust the volume with a light touch by sliding your finger up or down.
Apple’s wireless headphones are now more energy efficient, offering Up to six hours of continuous listening on a single charge, which means 33 percent more autonomy than the first generation AirPods Pro. While with the charging case it goes up to 30 hours of total listening, an increase of six hours. Charging is now supported by Apple Watch Charger, MagSafe, and Lightning Cable.
The AirPods Pro 2 case is also renewed with a slot to place a strap in it and a small speaker that plays a sound that helps locate it in case of loss.
Apple also incorporates the AirTags UI chip that provides spatial awareness, allowing the earphones and case to be tracked more easily through the search app.
On an aesthetic level, the AirPods Pro 2 remains intact with the characteristic white color, but adds the option to record a personalized “memoji”. These headphones will be available for purchase beginning September 23 for $249.
